Donations Policy

We accept donations of relevant material for addition to our collections.

This page explains the types of materials accepted and who to contact to discuss a donation.

Items Accepted

All donations are assessed for suitability for our collections. Only items in excellent condition will be accepted.

Books

Only books less than three years old are accepted as donations. Exceptions are:

• Books that form part of a series held by the library. These may be accepted regardless of age provided they are in good condition.
• Local history books

Magazines

Occasionally customers offer us a magazine they subscribe to. These may be accepted if they are in good condition, will be an appropriate addition to our collection and are received while still current.
