EV Charging Cables for Loan

Richmond Library has electric vehicle EV charging cables available for library members to borrow, just like you would a book.

There are three different types of cables available for loan: Type 2 to Type 2, Type 1 to Type 2, and commando/caravan cables.

Borrowers can keep the cables for up to 3 weeks.

This service aims to help alleviate range anxiety when driving a low-range EV.

Drivers can use these cables to take advantage of the EV chargers in the region where they need to BYO cable or to take advantage of caravan chargers to extend their range.

Before borrowing a cable, be sure to check online PlugShare or your preferred app to find the right plug type for your vehicle.
