Housebound Service
If you can't get to a library, we may be able to deliver items to your house.
Who Can Use the Service?
You are eligible to use the Housebound Service if you are:
- A Tasman District resident; and are
- unable to visit the library due to a major illness, disability or advanced years.
How Does it Work?
Items are selected by library staff and delivered by one of our group of volunteers or by a person nominated by you.
Deliveries are made every three or six weeks. Items ready to be returned to the library will be collected at the same time.
Any items available for loan from the library can be included in deliveries. This includes large print or ordinary print books, talking books on CD, DVDs and magazines.
