During May there are two major upgrades and changes happening at Tasman District Libraries. Our aim has been to keep any disruption to a minimum but there are some key dates which will impact on your ability to access and use the library. The disruption to services and opening hours covers the period Monday 6 May to Thursday 16 May due to upgrade of library RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Technology) and changes to our library computer system.
Our RFID system and security gates require replacement, and we need to close the Richmond and Tākaka Library to enable this building and electrical work to take place.
- Richmond Library Closed from 3.00pm Monday 6 May – reopens 12.00pm Wednesday 8 May
- Tākaka Library closed until 12.00pm on Thursday 9 May
Changes to our Library Catalogue system will impact on you from Wednesday 15 to Thursday 16 May.
- Richmond, Motueka and Tākaka libraries will be closed on Wednesday 15 May
- No access to Library App or Library catalogue or e-resources (e.g. Libby, BorrowBox, PressReader) from 8pm Wednesday 15 May until Friday 17 May
- Libraries open on Thursday 16 May, but items can only be issued at the service desk (no self-check kiosks). Be prepared to wait to have your items issued or come in before Wednesday 15th to borrow your items.
- Friday 17 May services and opening hours return to normal
