Let’s meet at the library

Monday 29 July 2019

Trying to find a venue for your next club meeting? Looking for somewhere for your employees' next training day? Want to hold a poetry evening and invite local poets? Then why not meet at the library?

Richmond library has meeting areas to hire for small and large groups from non-profit groups, clubs, businesses and individuals.

Our large meeting space, The Constance Barnicoat room, is on the ground floor of the library at the Queen Street end of the building. This space can be rented during and after library opening hours. This is a great space for giving talks, having meetings or showing a film. Up to 50 people can use this room depending on how the space is arranged. Microphones for speakers, projector for presentations and facilities for making hot drinks make the meeting room very versatile. What could your group use it for?

For smaller meetings the Margaret Mahy Room is situated on the first floor of the library with room for up to 10 people. Only accessible with staff assistance this space is separate from the public areas of the library and is more private. A simple room with tables, chairs and a whiteboard lets you get straight to business. This room is available between 9.30am and 5.00pm Monday - Friday.

Non-profit use of either space starts at $10 an hour and commercial use starts at $20 an hour.

Contact the library on 03 543 8500 today to book a room or pop in and talk to us about availability and pricing.
