Fabulous Foodie Events in May

Wednesday 16 May 2018

We're holding three exciting food-related events at Richmond Library in May.

The first is a preserve and recipe swap on Thursday 17 May between 12.00pm and 1.00pm.

Bring a jar of preserves (or several) and swap them for other jars of preserves. You'll discover tasty new preserves, get some variety into your pantry and meet new people.

You can also bring along your favourite recipes to swap. It's all about sharing the foodie love. Make sure you label your preserves so people know what they're swapping for.

Next up is the Building a Healthy Gut talk with registered nutritionist Sarah La Touche.

Sarah will share her knowledge, and some great recipes, to get your gut biota in great shape. This talk is on Monday 21 May between 12.00pm and 1.00pm. Koha is appreciated.

Finally, we're holding a shared pot-luck lunch.

The idea is that everyone brings along a dish that they have cooked to share with other pot-luckers. Bring a dish that can be served at room temperature as we don't have any heating equipment. And don't forget cutlery and a plate!

If you need some cooking inspiration check out our display of recipe books near the Petrie Carpark entrance to Richmond Library.
