Dive Into Art at Richmond Library

Tuesday 4 August 2020

Join us at Richmond Library from 5.30pm-6.30pm on Tuesday 11 August for our fifth edition of How To Look At Art with The Suter Art Gallery’s Curator Sarah McClintock.

Sarah will be bringing a mystery item from the Suter’s permanent collection to Richmond Library for one hour of discovering the who, when, why, how, what of the piece.

With Sarah’s guidance, you’ll start to see beneath the surface of the art work and to understand more about the context of its creation.

Previous art works in this series of talks have included pieces by well known New Zealand artists Toss Woollaston and Frances Hodgkins.

It’s a great opportunity for anyone interested in art to fully engage with an art work, and to explore The Suter’s extensive permanent art collection.

It’s free and everyone is welcome. Bookings are not required.
