Creative Teens Urged to Enter Writing Competition
Monday 12 August 2013
If you’d love to see your name in print and you’re a writer aged 13-19 years, check out the exciting Re-Draft competition.
Set up by the School of Young Writers in Christchurch, Re-Draft searches out New Zealand’s top teenage writers to include in its popular annual publication.
Now in its 13th year, the competition is a great way for young writers to launch their careers. Past winning entries have ranged from seven-line poems to eight-page short stories.
Judges this year are well-known authors Tessa Duder and James Norcliffe.
Come into your local library to pick up an entry form and to look at the Re-Draft series publications.
The deadline for the Re-Draft Competition is 30 September.
