Celebrate NZ Theatre Month at Your Library

Thursday 23 August 2018

This year we are celebrating New Zealand Theatre Month with play readings by the Nelson Repertory Theatre at Richmond and Motueka libraries.

New Zealand Theatre Month is all about taking the time to focus on the enjoyment that theatre brings us. After all, what would we do without Shakespeare and the themes in his plays - forbidden love, jealousy and betrayal, power and madness among them - which have resonated in popular culture through the ages.

New Zealand is home to a talented community of playwrights, actors and theatre professionals of many kinds such as lighting technicians, producers, directors and set builders.

Celebrate the enjoyment we all get from theatre with a reading of the theatre adaptation of James and The Giant Peach by Roald Dahl. Or enjoy a reading of the play The Queen's Gambit - a murder mystery set right here in New Zealand.
