Riemke Ensing at Motueka Library
Thursday 19 June 2014
Ever wondered what it takes to become a poet? Visit Motueka Library on 8 July to hear Auckland-based poet Riemke Ensing give a poetry reading followed by a Question and Answer session.
Riemke immigrated to New Zealand in 1951 from the Netherlands. Although at the time she could not speak English, she quickly developed a love of the English language and eventually became a tutor of English at the University of Auckland.
As well as the poetry reading at the Motueka Library, Riemke will be hosting a poetry workshop as part of the Motueka Arts Council's Winter workshops.
This is a rare opportunity to meet a writer of Riemke's standing.
